Things to come.

I'm not the long winded type but I just wanted to thank you folks for dropping by and checking out our pages, and to let you know that big things will be happening this year for Pantheon. We'll soon make it available to buy our comics or downloads so please hang in there as we spread the Pantheon name world wide.

      Artist spotlight:

             Artist's statement.

In all pieces I make and have made, I stick to the same subject matter. All of these things seem to translate well into my comic book style of art, but other than the style, I had wondered for a while what connects my pieces - what connects my subject matter and my interest in them? In one way I liked the idea of grouping them all together as a statement about myself; the different areas of my life, a horror comic artist on the side, a roller derby skater at night, a burlesque vixen on the weekends, and a constant music connoisseur.

However, I started to realize on a somewhat deeper level how all these themes represent a part of my personality. Whether conscious or not, my art tends to focus on female subjects - as if the feminist part of my brain, perhaps, saying "We can do it!" in a Rosie the Riveter manner.

Regardless of what the subjects of my art are doing - whether they're looking pretty or in the heat of battle with monsters - I'd like to think they are representing the different facets and strengths of women. As I've said before, I myself am a woman of many faces, so I know you can't just view any one woman in any one way.

We had a great time at the McGrath gallery at Bellarmine University. Brooke had more fine pieces of art displayed (and for sale) and we look forward to great things from this very talented young lady. Now we gotta get out and watch her body check somebody.
